Reno was found as a stray in Chicago Ill. She was dog tested and was able to play in the play groups at the shelter. She is approx 5-6 years old. Fully vetted and spayed and of course Micro Chipped just in case she was to be true to her breed and want to escape. Husky lovers are you looking for one of the most chilled Husk a rue on the planet. Look no more !!! This sweet girl is waiting to find her forever family . Knowledge of the breed is a must. These babies will lead the pack if given the chance. Yes she will shed so you must also except that fur is going to pretty much happen. She will sing the song of her people. She will try and do magic and disappear if given the chance. She gets along great with other dogs her size and kid's We are not sure about cat's and small dogs. We are all shocked that this baby has not found a forever home yet.

Thank you for your interest in adopting a pet from Guardians of the Green Mile Inc. We are a group of individuals that have come together to save the lives of animals that are in danger of being euthanized. We raise funds to fully vet the animals and to provide them with a stable home until they are adopted. All of the dogs in our Rescue are in Foster homes while they are looking for their forever family. The only time we put a dog in boarding is for a Foster to go on vacation if another Foster is not able to care for them. We appreciate your taking the time to fill out the application to adopt one of our Guardians of the Green Mile pets. The questions that we ask are to only find the right fit for all of our dogs and the families that will be adopting them. Adoption fees are $250 for dogs that are 1 year and older. $300 for puppies under 1 year. Included in the adoption fee: All animals will be fully vetted, micro chipped and spayed or neutered. (Deposit of $50.00 required if they are not old enough to have the surgery) Renter’s will be required to submit a copy of their lease agreement to verify Landlord and also All Fosters and Adopters that have personal animals must be spayed / neutered. Age appropriate and healthy enough for surgery, we will verify that with the reference call to your Veterinarian. We are 100% volunteer operated and will process your application within a few days to a week depending on volunteer availability. We will be checking with your veterinarian and personal references, please let them know ahead of time. Applicants will be interviewed and require a home visit before being approved to adopt or foster a dog from GOTGM. Here is the link to our Adoption or Foster Application http://jotform.us/form/43196636952162 Please complete the form to the best of your ability. Enter N/A if a question does not apply to you. Applicants must be 21 or older. Thank you Guardians of the Green Mile.

All of GOTGM pets are spayed/neutered prior to adoption. We do not adopt to households with pets who have not been spayed and/or neutered unless there is a medical reason.  All pets will be fully vetted, UTD on vaccines, micro chipped, treated for parasites, and heartworm tested before adoption.  Puppies that are too young for spay/neuter surgery at time of adoption will have the requirement and date included in their adoption contract.  Adoption donation is $200 for dogs over 1 year old and $300 for puppies/dogs under 1 year old.
